Belong to one of the America’s most popular families means being the focus of journalists attention 24 hours a day. That’s why the concept of house as sanctuary is the best solution for those who need to find comfort at least at home. Such an escape Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian found in homes around the corner from each other in Calabasas, California. Interiors have been tailored by the celebrities favorite Martyn Lawrence Bullard. His long term friendship with Kardashian family predisposed his ability to create his star clients’ desired mood in their houses and reflect spirits of each one in the house.
Khloe’s passion to Eastern traditional styles has influenced the Bullard’s decision on how to dress her interior. He applied a kaleidoscopic multiple elements of Moroccan, Turkish, and Middle Eastern twists adding clean lines to give a more vibrant, contemporary look.
Her sister Kourtny’s love of discovery, who is completely absorbed in the history of 20-th century design, made her build a serious collection of artefacts from the Pierre Jeanneret chairs around the dining table to Oscar Nimeyer chair and ottoman in the living room and Jules Leleu desk that stands in the middle of her art-filled office. In general her house is pierced with modernist gems.
